Fr. Joe began his ministry in the St. Nicholas community on September 1st, 2015.
Fr. Joseph was born July 20, 1966, and is the younger of two children (Christine, sister) of Joseph W. and Mary DiStefano in Canton, Ohio.
He was married to Melanie A. Tsikouris of Campbell, Ohio in May of 2003 in the Chapel of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. They live in Campbell with their son Michael Seraphim.
After attending Glen Oak High School in Canton, Ohio, he attended Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with Majors in Management and Marketing.
He received a Masters degree in Business Administration from Malone College in Canton, Ohio.
He entered Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA in 2001, graduating in May of 2005 with a Master of Divinity degree with Distinction.
Ordained to the Holy Diaconate on December 26, 2004 at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church in Canton, Ohio by Metropolitan Maximos of Pittsburgh, PA., He served as a Deacon at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Lowell, MA during his final semester at the seminary.
He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on July 2, 2005 at the Annunciation Cathedral in Columbus, Ohio, where he served as the Associate Pastor until December, 2009. From 2010-2015 he served at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in Monessen, PA.
He pursues such past time activities as fishing, exercise, playing music and spending time with family.
